Cuando se conectan dos o mas condensadores (capacitores) uno después del otro, se dice que están conectados en serie.
Estos condensadores se pueden reemplazar por un único condensador que tendrá un valor que, sea el equivalente al de los otros que están conectados en serie.
Para obtener el valor de este único condensador se utiliza la fórmula:
1/CT = 1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3 + 1/C4
Pero fácilmente se puede hacer un cálculo para cualquier número de condensadores con ayuda de la siguiente fórmula
1 / CT = 1 / C1 + 1 / C2 + .........+ 1 / CN
donde: N es el número de condensadores que están conectados en serie. Ver el gráfico de 4 condensadores en serie
Un capacitor puede ser armado acoplando otros en serie y/o en paralelo. De esta manera se obtiene una capacidad total equivalente para el conjunto de capacitores que se puede calcular mediante expresiones simples. También es posible conocer las caídas de potencial y la carga almacenada en cada capacitor. El acoplamiento de capacitores en serie se realiza conectando en una misma rama uno y otro capacitor, obteniendo una capacidad total entre el primer borne

What is the best way to store an unused laptop

Battery? I have a laptop that's less than six months old and I am thinking of getting a second battery.
If a battery is a type of CAPACITOR, my understanding is that a Capacitor loses some of it's electrochemical potential in the HEAT produced during the DISCHARGE of the CAPACITOR, and stripping some of the electrons from the metal conductor itself (causing that to deteriorate.)
In...Charged or DISCHARGED, that is why the battery gets warm during use. I am wondering why a Capacitor on a circuit board can be Charged, Discharged or stored (in either state)millions (billions + ?) of time but batteries don't work like that. Is it the size difference?
Should I just wait until this battery goes bad before I replace it? I notice they only have 6 month warranty.

Technique is akin to giving someone a gun but not telling them how to use it.
