On old E W Barton film/foil winders, we have all the system worked out to do this, not a prototype, it's in production. Besides, we don't think that its just limited to this model. We are working at this moment to eliminate this type of changeover, so the inferior aging fleet of metallized capacitor winders by Barton can truly be converted. That's not easy to do, but worth it.

Custom Digital Control System Retrofits.

This is not limited to american made machines, its also ideal for the older European Winders.

Mechanical Upgrades, Rebuilds & Modifications.

Here we might be better at E W Barton company machines. However, we have a fantastic supplier of basic metric parts, around 500,000 just from 1 manufacturer alone. We can modify this stuff, even get machining done where we don't have the equipment. We even put a lot of metric parts in the Barton's, and many of the ball bearings and other parts in the Barton's are metric to begin with. Metric does no scare us, period. Since we design and make parts, even if we don't have the prints, we've never had a complaint. So what's the difference?

Some Budgetary Prices have been missing on this page for a long time. That's due to the fact there was such a wide variety of electronics and mechanicals available. The newer electronics have finally gelled into operating together without hassle. The controls, budget around $5,000 to $7,000 U.S. dollars,programmed, installed, wired and tested at our facility. We cannot give a true budgetary figure on mechanicals without seeing the original machine, period. Your options are many, so guesswork is out of the question. Just to get some idea, it could range from $2,500 to $25,000 depending on what is missing, broken, worn or options you choose. Typical is around $4,500.

Sealer adjustment is a pain that we don't like to deal with. Through superior engineering, we have eliminated the necessity to adjust the position. A constant torque sealer is used. My customers do not experience the scrap from adjustments of other types.
